In “EARSAY” page 27 of The Courier Mail 24/7/09 was an article of only about 80 words outlining a Bank Loans Officer who advanced herself nearly $650,000 (THAT IS SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND) to save her marriage and we all admire the processes that Banks have to find the .0005 of a cent that you owe them. The report goes on to say that it is estimated that in the past decade bank officers have stolen as much as $40 million dollars Australia wide. We know that repeated research shows that 80% of retail theft in Australia is internal – “internal” in this instance means in your business the people you trust with your business and profits – scary.
